About Us
Welcome!
As a non-profit preschool licensed by the MA Dept. of Early Education and Care, OACP provides a curriculum designed to promote development across all aspects of our students’ lives. Our program is designed as a well-balanced and enjoyable introduction to learning. We will establish a loving and caring relationship with your child. We will care for, nurture, educate, and provide the guidance for your child to reach his or her full potential.
In this Christian environment, your child will be given the opportunity to investigate, observe, make choices, and ask questions on all kinds of subjects. The children will be taught basic values and morals which can be positively reinforced at home. This will be accomplished through child-initiated and teacher-directed activities. Your child will interact with other children in activities suited specifically for preschool.
Open Arms Christian Preschool admits all children and all families and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, cultural heritage, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation in its educational programs or admission policies.
Our Story
Open Arms Christian Preschool is a non-profit child care center that was opened in 1996 to serve the children of Bedford and the surrounding communities. Open Arms is a ministry of The Lutheran Church of the Savior (LCS) in Bedford, Massachusetts. The Preschool is governed by a Board of Director appointed by LCS’ Church Council. LCS is shepherded by Rev. Jonathan Manor. As Pastor of the church, Pastor Manor serves as the spiritual shepherd of both the congregation and the preschool.
If you have any questions about what it means to be a Christian in the Lutheran tradition, or would like to talk to Pastor about spiritual matters, he can be reached via email at pastor@lcsavior.org or via church phone at 781-275-6013.
Philosophy & Mission
Open Arms Christian Preschool (OACP) has been providing a Christian learning environment since 1996. We believe that each child is a unique individual, and they are encouraged to develop at a comfortable rate of growth. Our curriculum provides guidance to promote seven areas of development — spiritual, social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language, and self-help skill. Our goal is to share the gift of Jesus’ word by providing a Christian learning environment and education for the children of our community.
